No one seems to know if tourism is up or down. It depends who you want to listen to. However, to get more Tourists, Travel and Hospitality Companies need to work themselves to attract visitors. And, if enough do this, Tourism should increase. Consider the following:

Palawan isn’t well known. Use Facebook, LinkedIn, TripAdvisor, Blogs and Websites to promote your business, the city and the province.
Everyone needs to update their Social Media frequently, since this is an ongoing to process to build awareness, particularly overseas.
You need to learn how to use Google Key Words to show up in Google searches.
Foreigners totally use the internet for their travel decisions. They go on line for deciding where to visit and what to do, once they are there.

Use lots of quality pictures. Visuals sell and inspire.
Learn how marketing affects Foreigners. They respond totally the opposite of Filipinos to marketing.
Frequency is everything for building the tourist industry. We must stay in front of potential visitors.
You need to update all your information frequently, again using photographs.
Think about font colors in your copy. Foreigners can’t read black lettering on green or red backgrounds or white over white.
Make your message bold. No small fonts, again Foreigners can’t or will not read.

Put the fees also in dollars. Foreigners don’t get Pesos.
All they see is a huge number, which freaks them. Using dollars shows them real value.

Do not forget there are more pensions going up now and the market may not be big enough to support all the new and existing pensions, so it has to get bigger.
It is therefore very important for one and all to market aggressively to gain more new business.
Might be a good idea if there was more collaboration among those in the Travel and Hospitality business.
